Let’s Go To The Beach (We Have Them All)!

Charleston, South Carolina, is more than just cobblestone streets and historic charm—it's also home to some of the most beautiful and diverse beaches on the East Coast. Whether you're seeking a lively surf scene or a tranquil escape, Charleston's coastline offers something for every beach lover.

Folly Beach – Where the Locals Go to Relax

Folly is funky, free-spirited, and full of energy—and that’s why I love it. Just a short drive from downtown, it’s where I head when I want to catch some live music, watch surfers carve through the waves, or just feel the pulse of the community. Don’t skip the pier—it’s a classic.

Edisto Beach – A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive

Edisto is a bit of a drive, but totally worth it if you're in the mood for something untouched and low-key. It’s one of those places where time slows down. I love exploring Botany Bay or just combing the beach for shells—there’s a peacefulness here that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Isle of Palms – Laid–Back Barrier Island

Isle of Palms is a classic for a reason. It’s super accessible, great for families, and full of energy without being overwhelming. The County Park is super convenient with restrooms, picnic spots, and plenty of room to spread out. Bonus: you might spot sea turtles nesting if you're there at the right time of year!

Sullivan’s Island – Quiet Mornings, Coastal Magic

Sullivan’s is my top pick. The beach here is peaceful, the sand is soft, and the views are stunning. It’s a locals’ favorite for a reason. I usually pair a morning walk with a bite at Obstinate Daughter, or an ice cream evening treat!

Kiawah Island – Natural Luxury at Its Finest

When I’m craving something quieter and a little luxe, Kiawah is the best. It feels like you’ve entered another world—clean beaches, protected dunes, and some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen. Beachwalker Park is a gem for peaceful afternoons, especially if you bring a good book and just let the hours melt away.
